Terms of Service
Effective 11 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and JVC Projects Ltd ("we", "us"), which operates RaiseAm. They apply to merchants who create a RaiseAm account and to anyone who uses RaiseAm websites and stores. By creating an account or using RaiseAm, you agree to them.
1. What RaiseAm provides
RaiseAm is software that lets businesses create an online store, list products, take orders and receive payments. We provide the tools; each merchant runs their own business. Features available to you depend on your plan.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract, and the details you give us must be true and kept up to date.
- You are responsible for your password and for everything done under your account. Tell us at once at info@raiseam.ng if you suspect unauthorised use.
- If you open an account for a business, you confirm that you are authorised to act for it.
3. Merchants are the sellers
When a customer buys from a store on RaiseAm, the contract of sale is between the customer and the merchant, not JVC Projects Ltd. The merchant is responsible for:
- their products, prices, descriptions and photos being accurate and lawful;
- delivering orders, customer service, returns and refunds;
- any licences, registrations and taxes their business needs, including food safety rules where they sell food;
- publishing their own delivery and refund terms to their customers.
4. Payments
- Store payments are processed by Paystack, using the merchant's own Paystack account. Money from customers is paid by Paystack to the merchant, not held by us. Paystack's own terms and fees apply.
- Plan fees for RaiseAm are charged in naira through Paystack, in advance, for the billing period you choose. Prices are shown on our pricing page and may change with at least 30 days' notice before your next billing period.
- Refunds of plan fees follow our Refund Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use RaiseAm to sell or promote anything illegal, counterfeit, dangerous or deceptive, including weapons, drugs, stolen goods or adult content; to collect payment for goods you do not intend to supply; to infringe anyone's rights, including trademarks and copyright; to send spam; or to try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to RaiseAm. We may remove content or suspend a store that breaks these rules or the law.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the logos, photos, text and data you add. You give us permission to host, copy and display that content only as needed to run your store and the service. You confirm you have the right to use everything you upload.
7. Domains
Every store can use a free RaiseAm web address. If you connect your own domain, you remain its owner and are responsible for renewing it with your registrar. Domain registration through RaiseAm, when offered, is subject to the registrar's terms and to availability.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep RaiseAm available and secure and take regular backups, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve, change or remove features; if we remove a feature you pay for, we will tell you in advance.
9. Ending your account
You can stop using RaiseAm at any time and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts customers at risk or is unpaid, giving notice where reasonable. After closure we keep data only as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Nigerian law. Otherwise, we are not liable for lost profits, lost sales or indirect losses, or for the acts of merchants, customers, Paystack or other third parties. Our total liability to a merchant in any 12 months is limited to the plan fees that merchant paid us in that period.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem. Disputes that cannot be resolved will be handled by the courts of Nigeria.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will show the new effective date here and, for important changes, tell merchants by email or in the dashboard before they apply.
